Abstract

The article is deals with a systematic analysis of the theory and the practice of modern extracurricular education, is described the essence of the ten leading dominants in the development of this unique educational system. The essence of the first (organizational and methodological) is to combine the efforts of extracurricular teachers and teachers of secondary education institutions to create a joint educational, developmental, socializing leisure environment; the next (essential) is mobility, versatility, variability and flexibility, continuity, and succession, independence and activity of the individual, which ensures the integrity of the educational process of extracurricular institutions; in the content of the third (personal) are relevant processes of individualization of educational and cognitive and specific socially useful and mass work of the child at all stages of its ontogeny; the priority of the fourth (emotional and value) is the formation of individually and socially important qualities and beliefs that are important for both children and their parents and the community; the essence of the fifth (socializing) is to create effective conditions for translating the moral experience, values, norms, and rules of behavior into one's own experience of the active life of the child; the essence of the sixth (communicative) lies in the construction of interpersonal and intercultural communication of children; the leading idea of the seventh (the priority of creative development) is the understanding of creativity as free from the restrictions and constraints of independent activity of the child; formation of socio-personal competence is the essence of the eighth dominant (competence); the ninth (moral orientation) provides solutions to the problems of civic education of a growing personality; assimilation of systemic morally oriented knowledge, values, moral and ethical norms of actions, and behavior is the essence of the tenth leading dominant (becoming a citizen-patriot).
