PERSONAL IMPLEMENTATION OF STUDENTS IN OFF-AUDITORIAL ACTIVITIES (on the example of Rivne State Humanities University)
Abstract
The article deals with the problem of personal self-realization of students in the conditions of higher education institution. On the basis of theoretical analysis of scientific views on the essence of this phenomenon, it is concluded that self-realization is a process of awareness of his/her «I», the disclosure of personal potential (cognitive, moral, ethical, creative, communicative, aesthetic) and its realization the vital activity of personality, which makes possible his/her development and improvement. Possibilities of extracurricular activities of students in higher education institution in promoting personal self-realization are highlighted. The description of extracurricular activity is presented as a complete pedagogical system, functioning in the conditions of higher education institution of humanitarian profile. Characteristics of its organization, purpose, tasks, types, forms, levels, innovative approaches are characterized. Emphasis is placed on the humanistic potential of extracurricular activity, its role in the educational process, its influence on the cultural and creative development of students' personality, on the formation of their professional competence and social activity is substantiated. The experience of Rivne State Humanitarian University in stimulating students' personal self-realization by organizing different forms of extracurricular activities is revealed. The university's humanitarian environment is characterized by its pedagogical potential in the acquisition of humanitarian knowledge and the formation of humanitarian thinking of students. The main components of extracurricular activities and their peculiarities at the faculties and institute of arts are presented.
