DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG PUPILS IN THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING THEIR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE SYMBOL

Abstract

The article reveals the significance of folk symbols as an emotionally-imaginative reflection of the culture of the Ukrainian people. Possibilities of its use in speech activity of junior students are defined. It is proved that the level of proficiency of a junior student of the Ukrainian language and the development of the ability to use linguistic means in the process of perception, understanding and production of texts of oral and written forms will depend on his internal culture, moral convictions and aesthetic ideals, and the indicator of high quality, emotionally rich language is presentative speech that involves the using of words and phrases in an unusual metaphorical sense, which makes the artfull reproduction of the reality possible. In our research, we base on the general definition of symbol as the suppositive marking of any object, concept or phenomenon in order to convey a certain idea briefly and vividly. And folk symbolism as a set of a system of special conditional images of culture, reflecting the views of Ukrainians on the world, objectified in their mythical, religious, socio-psychological ideas, ideals, traditions, rituals, customs. In the educational process of elementary school, considering the age features of junior students, the extraordinary interest in something unusual, interesting, fantastic, their emotionality, we distinguish the following thematic vocabulary groups: The State symbols of Ukraine (the Emblem, the Flag,the Anthem). Ukrainian folk symbols, which includes: the symbolism of embroidering; the symbolism of Easter egg (Pysanka); the symbolism of nature and natural elements; the symbolism of plants and animals; the symbolism of buildings; the symbolism of household things; the symbolism of clothing, jewelry; the symbolism of ritual dishes; symbolism of calendar ceremonials; symbolism of family rituals; the folk-poetical symbolism.
