Social partnership in the formation of competence of future social workers
Abstract
In the article, the author actualizes the expediency of introducing the approach of intersectoral interaction of higher education institutions at the level of social partnership with social institutions and institutions in training socially competent future social workers. The purpose of the article is to reveal the role of social partnership in shaping the social competence of future social workers in the process of their professional training. The author draws a connection between the concepts of «interaction», «partnership interaction», «social partnership», «social interaction». He regards social partnership as a means and condition for ensuring
the quality of training, competitiveness and mobility of professionals in the labor market and a means of shaping their social competence; a means of developing and promoting technology and knowledge through the education system; a means of solving the urgent social problems facing today’s Ukrainian society. The author of the article outlines the benefits of this kind of cooperation. The author defines leading directions of interaction of higher education institution with social partners in the context of formation of social competence of future social workers. It outlines the range of basic knowledge and skills that future socially competent professionals should acquire in their university studies. The author of the article concludes that social partnership contributes to the development of all components of social competence of future social workers. It enables them to gain experience of interpersonal interaction, cooperation and establishing business relations with partners, organizing activities to achieve a common goal, overcoming communication barriers; to carry out professional communication while performing professional tasks, self-development and self-education; be leaders, putting social competencies into practice, developing a motivational and value sphere, and so on.
