Design procedure steam-oriented educational environment for development information and digital competence primary school teacher
Abstract
The active development of the knowledge society requires the reform of education and the revision of traditional teaching methods from the standpoint of updating the forms, means and its content in accordance with such global processes as globalization and the information revolution. In view of this, the design models of educational environments in accordance with the implementation of global trends in new approaches to learning at different levels of personal education is important. One such trend is STEAM education, which requires the design of STEAM-oriented educational environment. At the same time, the teachers’ information and digital competence development of becomes especially important, which is important for the education support and development in accordance with the requirements of the information society. With this in mind, the aim of the article is to analyze approaches to designing a STEAM-oriented educational environment of a general educational institution. The analysis of scientific literature and electronic educational resources on the implementation and use of STEAM-approach in general educational institutions provided an opportunity to clarify the stages of designing STEAM-oriented educational environment: analytical and ascertaining; target; theoretical and modeling; research-experimental, effective-diagnostic; monitoring and wide implementation of the model. Prospects for further research are related to the development and implementation of a model of STEAM-oriented educational environment for the development of information and digital competence of teachers, the creation of appropriate methodology and analysis of the results of its implementation in the system of teacher training.
