The article considers the features of professional training of students in the piano class; the training and formation of knowledge, skills and abilities of future teachers are determined. In this article, we found that the development of the student's personality is influenced by both external and internal conditions of activity. The ways of development of these factors depend on the life experience of the individual, intrinsic motivation and developed personal qualities. Thus, the peculiarities of the development of professional skills of a music teacher depends not only on external conditions, but also internal - personal motivations and qualities of future professionals. The evidence indicates that, it is extremely important to develop the motivational sphere of students and internal attitudes to acquire knowledge and skills. Based on the results of scientific research, we identify three main types of work that are the foundation for the organization of professional training of piano students. These include individual, lecture and seminar, and independent work. Individual work is the main type of musical-performing activity of students and contains various forms, namely: educational-performing, concert activity and writing of scientific-methodical articles, diploma and master's theses. This type of work requires the development of will, attention, dedication, deep motivation and contributes to the formation of performance skills, aesthetic taste, ability to analyze and interpret musical works. Lecture and seminar works are aimed at deeper training of students on methods and music-pedagogical activities, the history of piano performance etc. This work contributes to the deepening of professional knowledge and the formation of motivations for future professions. The special attention is paid to independent work of piano students which is an extremely important element of professional training. In the process of implementing this type of work, students learn to independently solve pedagogical and executive tasks, mobilize will and motivation, learn to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in practice. Adherence to certain pedagogical conditions in the educational process will contribute to a more complete professional development of students. Based on the purpose and objectives of the article, we have proposed a methodological technology for professional training of piano students in art schools. It is based on observance of pedagogical principles and certain pedagogical conditions; implementation in the educational process of a diverse set of general and specific methods and creative tasks.
