Education of competent personality in the New ukrainian school

Abstract

The article aimed at revealing the importance and essence of personal competence for the theory and practice of education in the context of the implementation of the Concept of reforming general secondary education «New Ukrainian School». It has been revealed the features of the competence approach to student education. The essence of education of the competent personality of the student is opened. The program-pedagogical means of formation of practical ability of the person to act responsibly on the basis of values ​​in the conditions of integral educational process in the New Ukrainian School are characterized. It has been outlined tools and mechanisms of t consideration value potential of competencies on the basis of the essential content of the value attitude of the individual to the world in the general structure of competence and guidelines for education. Emphasis is placed on the education of a competent person, which should provide an objective description of the value orientation of the individual, the formation of ideological beliefs and willingness to act morally and adhere to etiquette based on values, as stated in the New Ukrainian School Program in the approach to values. The interrelation of values ​​and competencies for the development of value-oriented activities of the individual as an opportunity to express themselves, meet needs and develop interests, live and work in real conditions. It is proved that competence in the New Ukrainian School is formed on basis of a system of values ​​that contribute to the manifestation of practical ability (competence) and the acquisition of individual social experience of the individual.
