Abstract

The current level of informatization of society, the growth of information flows, the widespread introduction of information technologies in all spheres of human activity, place new demands on the nature and level of education of the future specialist. In spite of the high functionality of computer equipment and telecommunication facilities, it is necessary to create new educational technologies of training of future specialists using the didactic capabilities of modern computer equipment, and in particular computer graphics. The use of computer graphics in the educational process of a higher education institution is devoted to a considerable amount of work, which deals with various aspects of training of future specialists in technical specialties. At the same time, however, the term «four-dimensional graphics» is hardly covered in the scientific work on the features of computer graphics in the educational process, with the focus mostly on computer animation.

The authors of the article reveal the components of computer graphics, their types (raster, vector, fractal and three-dimensional) and classes (engineering, business, scientific and illustrative), perform the analysis of scientific terms («computer graphics», «four-dimensional objects», «four-dimensional space», «four-dimensional graphics», and «computer animation».

It is important for those who have a technical education degree to acquire the skills of creating not only a three-dimensional model of a part, but also being able to model a mechanism that consists of a certain number of parts. However, a static model of the mechanism usually does not provide a complete understanding of the principle of its operation. To create a dynamic model of the three-dimensional mechanism, it is necessary to use the fourth dimension - time. The dynamic model will give a complete understanding of the principle of operation of the mechanism as a whole. 4D graphics provide an additional layer of information available about the visual process. The author defines the term «four-dimensional graphics» as a set of techniques and tools (software, hardware) designed to display movement (movement) and the interaction of three-dimensional objects in time.
