Peculiarities of technology of cooperative learning application in educational process in the new Ukrainian primary school
Abstract
The article outlines the essence of technology of cooperative learning in educational process in the New Ukrainian Primary School. Cooperative learning is considered as important factor of transformative changes in education since it enables to build subject- subjective relationship in the system «teacher – learner» through the process of productive interaction. It has been noted that such process facilitates the formation of personal-active paradigm of education, declared in the Concept of the New Ukrainian School.
It has been reviewed the core characteristics of ideas (social interaction, cognitive development, behaviorism) which are the theoretic base for cooperative learning and the key features of cooperation. It has been highlighted the main criteria of cooperative learning success. It has been found out that the pair work is the most effective activity at the initial stage of learning. It has been noted the advantages of doing the tasks by two students in the environment of synchronous work, outlined the game models of interaction in pairs, noted the algorithm of organization and stages of implementation of pair work.
It has been emphasized that primary teachers’ role in the process of cooperation has been changed since they should be not the repeaters of knowledge but advisors, coachers, consultants, leaders, accompanying members of learning group in their personal development.
It has been outlined the ways and instruments of formal assessment to stimulate individual or group responsibility of students in the process of technology of cooperative learning application in the educational process in the New Ukrainian Primary School.
