The fundamentals of testing as a means of controlling educational achievements of students in mathematics and its implementation during distance education in general secondary education institutions
Abstract
The article provides a generalized analysis of scientific research and publications on the topic under consideration. The main scientific approaches to defining the essence of the concept of «pedagogical test», «testing» are systematized, generalized and theoretically compre- hended. The functions of the test at different stages of the les- son are revealed, and the criteria that the developed test must meet are substantiated in detail. The classification of test tasks is carried out and examples to them are given. The work highlights the recommendations for the use of testing in the educational process during distance learn- ing through educational platforms. Among the simple and easy-to-use tools are Google Forms, Google Glass, Mas- ter Test, Online Test Pad, which have developed demon- stration tests in mathematics. Each of the educational plat- forms has its own features, advantages and disadvantages. After processing the presented material, everyone can choose a convenient tool for organizing professional work. Information of using these programs is clearly struc- tured in the article, which allows mathematics teachers to get acquainted quickly with the platforms. It is the use of information and communication technologies in the edu- cational process that reveals the professional and creative potential of the teacher, as the stimulus for continuous development is the constant informatization of society. Speaking about students, these technologies contribute to the modernization of education, which includes improv- ing the quality of education, increasing accessibility and ensuring personal development. For example, tests in online services help to increase motivation to learn, interest in the subject, stimulate search activities. Since these factors affect the quality of learning activities, it is important that the teacher's pro- ductive work is focused on them.
