V. SUHOMLINSKY'S PEDAGOGICAL HERITAGE IN THE CONTEXT OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CREATIVE ABILITIES OF STUDENTS IN PHYSICS AND ASTRONOMY
Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of V. O. Sukhomlynskiy’s views on the process, conditions and ways to form creative personality of the student. The content of the concepts «creativity», «children’s creativity», «pedagogical creativity» have been differentiated. Sukhomlynskiy’s system of pedagogical ideas with the systematic role in developing student’s creativity in the New Ukrainian School have been analyzed, namely teacher’s trust in the talent of every student; creative style of the teacher; emotional comfort atmosphere humanizing «teacher to student» and «student to student» interactions.
The specifics of developing creativity in the students of college during science disciplines such as «Physics and Astronomy» as a holistic system have been reviewed. It includes the following components: classes as a form and means of developing creativity; the system of extra-curriculum activities as means of transforming student from the potential into real subject of the creative process; discovering and creating «new» not only in the outside world, but also in the student’s own personality. The pedagogical importance of the unique system of developing creativity of the younger student, called «the harmony of pedagogical influences» has been elaborated on.
The special role of the pedagogical creativity and teacher’s art as the crucial elements in the intellectual growth of the student has been highlighted. The focus is placed on the effectiveness and results of the activity-based approach in developing creativity of the students during «Physics and Astronomy» classes, based on Lutsk Pedagogical College practice. The impact and innovation of the pedagogical heritage of the teacher-pioneer in the context of globalization challenges and modern information society have been demonstrated.
