Abstract

The article presents the results of studying the values of students in grades 5-11 after the implementation of the Program of national education for students of Rivne region from 2008 to 2020. The  value attitude to society and the state, to the historical, cultural, spiritual heritage of the native land, to the family, other people, to themselves, to nature, to work and art were diagnosed. The survey covered 586 schools in the region and 93,295 students in grades 5-11. For research was used the method of "Personal Growth", developed by the author's team under the leadership of P. Stepanov. The methodology involved assessing the answers of respondents, who were grouped into four levels: high, sufficient, medium, low. The results of the survey showed an increase in indicators of high and sufficient levels in all value ratios with a decrease in medium and low. The top three values include the following values: family, people (51,8%), self (44,9%), society and the state (43,6%). This shows that for adolescents the values of establishing relationships with the immediate environment, self-knowledge are important. Children feel their belonging to the Ukrainian nation, they care about its fate and future. The greatest dynamics of changes is observed in the indicators of the value attitude to society and the state (6,1%). We assume that in addition to the direct impact of the program on the values of society and the state, the events of the Revolution of Dignity, as well as the war in Donbass, the emergence of a powerful volunteer movement, which joined various segments of the population, also affected children. We observe positive changes in other value attitudes to the family,  people (5,9%), to themselves (5,8%), to the historical, cultural, spiritual heritage of the native land (5,7%), to nature (5,6%), to work (5,7%) and art (5,6%).The program has successfully completed the task of developing all students' values. It was flexible and variable in responding to modern social challenges, created all the necessary conditions for educating the young generation of people who will create the future of our country.
