Features of ms excel online application in the practice of training future specialists in economic specialities

Abstract

The article discusses the features of using the corporate platform Office 365 in the organization of the educational process of students of economic specialties. The peculiarities of the application of Excel on-line application of the cloud service Office 365 on the example of built-in functions and design of group to do teachers with students are investigated. To cover these issues more effectively, we offer a methodology that covers subject training in the discipline «Information Technology in Professional Activity», which covers elements of the use of cloud services in education and in their further professional activity. The object of the study is the corporate platform Office 365, which provides access to tools and services for educational purposes, testing technologies for the use of electronic educational resources and designing the educational environment of students and teachers. The research methodology includes working out practical tasks in MS Excel on-line to solve mathematical, logical, financial functions, date and time functions, as well as working with the commands «Edit» and «Sharing».In Excel online it is possible to perform calculations for certain categories of functions. The peculiarity of the calculation is that the names of all functions of the application Excel on-line corporate platform Office 365 are written in Latin letters, there is also the ability to quickly make changes to the document. Editing and collaboration includes viewing the document in a browser; making quick changes, notes; print from a browser; storing a document in the OneDrive file store. The introduction of the developed method of teaching students of economic specialties creates conditions for improving learning outcomes, intensifies group work of students. The prospect of further research is further theoretical substantiation and wider testing of the developed methodology, creation of methodological recommendations for work in applications MS Word on-line, MS PowerPoint on-line.
