Types of exercises in ukrainian language classes (for professional purposes) for students of psychological specialties

Abstract

The article considers the main provisions for studying the course «Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)» in a higher education institution. We analyzed the content of the subject «Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)» and the principles of its implementation in the training of specialists in psychological specialties, clarifies professional aspects and learning outcomes of students-psychologists. It has been highlighted perspectives, purpose of the course, tasks, methods and the main aspects of teaching the business Ukrainian language in humanitarian institutions of higher education.

It has been analyzed the types of exercises in Ukrainian language classes (for professional purposes) which form the professional competence of the master of psychology, contribute to the effective development and active application of basic speech skills of students-psychologists.

The method of studying new terms and concepts in the process of mastering professional terminology by students is substantiated. The main aspects in formation and improvement of terminological competence during the studying of discipline «Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)» are defined. Methods of successful mastering and active use of professional vocabulary that is combination of different exercises are illustrated. The main types of tasks that contribute to the better mastering of professional vocabulary are analyzed.

It has been analyzed current state of teaching professional vocabulary, editing, proofreading, translation of scientific texts and the basics of professional business speech. The attention is paid to the problem of using dictionaries, in particular branch ones, during the processing of professional texts, which is accompanied by the implementation of exercises to consolidate the new terminology.
