APPLICATION OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY OF MOODLE LEARNING IN MEDICAL EDUCATION
Abstract
The influence of the use of electronic educational-methodical complexes on the success is investigated. To prepare students for classes, were used electronic educational and methodical complexes and presentations, decorated with multimedia products for normative disciplines «Nursing in surgery» (specialty «Nursing»), «General surgery, surgery, pediatric surgery» (specialty «Physical therapy, ergotherapy»). Research work was carried out that provided for an examination of the effectiveness using of the electronic teaching complexes during 3 years. The research work involved 179 students from the control and experimental groups trained in the specialties «Nursing» (junior specialists and bachelors), «Physical therapy, ergotherapy» (bachelors). The following methods of control were chosen: testing, oral questioning, demonstration of acquired practical skills and professional skills, solving problems. The results of investigation showed that in the conditions of the introduction of the credit-modular system of training, fundamental new approaches are needed, both for academic disciplines teaching and for methodological support. Тhe electronic learning management system MOODLE is useful in supporting the traditional educational process, since in the conditions of a credit-module system almost one third of the academic time is spent on independent work. It was investigated, that the application of the MOODLE system is facilitated by: 1) intensification of the educational process; 2) improvement of scientific and methodological support of educational disciplines, in particular in the form of logically structured forms of sub-sections («Lectures», «Practical training», «Independent work»); 3) development of professional competencies and creative potential of students. It was found, that the use of innovative learning technology on the platform MOODLE provides a high level of mastering the theoretical material, mastery of the professional skills, which contributes to the improvement of the quality of professional training.
