Transdisciplinarity in content of natural and mathematical education
Abstract
. World transformational changes in various spheres of society are pushing for the reform of education in Ukraine. The New Ukrainian School offers new approaches and technologies that meet the needs of society and contribute to the formation of the competitiveness of modern youth in the international labor market. One of these approaches has become a transdisciplinary one, which links disciplines and scientific knowledge.
The article rethinks some aspects of introducing a transdisciplinary approach into the natural and mathematical field in secondary education institutions, examines the vector of development of the organization of the educational process from disciplinarity to transdisciplinarity. Domestic scientists and social institutions understand the impossibility of neglecting such an important aspect as «transdisciplinarity». They want to leave the field of their activity and functioning and plunge into the innovative space. The key role here allotted to the natural and mathematical direction. The natural sciences program of modern Ukraine provides for the introduction of a transdisciplinary approach (implementation of STEM education) from primary school to higher and professional.
A transdisciplinary approach to teaching allows you to combine science, technology, engineering and mathematics, is one of the main components of STEM education and improving the quality of teaching natural and mathematical disciplines in Ukraine. The demands of society and the needs of the modern economy make natural-mathematical education a key area of education development, one of the main factors in the innovative development of education and a component of Ukrainian state policy to strengthen human capital, increase the competitiveness of Ukrainian youth in the international labor market.
