Development of connected speech of preschool children towards a children's book
Abstract
The article updates the problem of children's literary education, the formation of a full-fledged reading activity in them. That is reason why there is a problem of the readiness of preschool education institutions and families to work with a children's book. Wich is an effective means of developing coherent speech of preschoolers that contributes to the development of their stable interest in literature, reading, the formation of initial ideas about the role of a book in human life and the need to live with a book, communicate with it.
Modern approaches to the use of children's book space in preschool institutions are outlined. It has been noted that traditional approaches to the selection of works of art for children, their use in the literary center of preschool institutions limit the possibilities of implementing the tasks of developing coherent speech of children. It has been drawn attention to the need to take into account the requirements for the design of the children's book space as an important element of the subject-developing environment of preschool institutions: rational organization; age compliance; aesthetics; convenience; safety; versatility; constant updating of materials.
Ways of developing coherent speech by the older preschool children in the space of children's books are proposed. It has been emphasized that among the various forms of organizing children's activities in the literary center, preference should be given to those that stimulate preschoolers to active communication and speech interaction and creativity. Optimizing work with a children's book helps to combine it with other activities. Methodological approaches to the development of coherent speech of children in the literary center, proposed in the study, were effective, as evidenced by positive changes in the speech development of the older preschoolers. Children's coherent statements have become independent, consistent, structured, and proactive.
Preschoolers have increased their interest in books and reading. Preschool teachers have enriched their knowledge about ways to develop children's coherent speech in the space of children's books. Rational selection of books, systematic, diverse work in the Literary Center, which meets the age characteristics, needs, interests of the preschool children, contributes to their successful speech development. In our opinion, it is important to find and implement innovative approaches to working with children's books by the preschool teachers.
