Content and functional aspects of analysis of polyphonic pieces of music in piano classes
Abstract
In higher artistic educational institutions of Ukraine, piano practice is in itself a logically built pedagogic system, which provides the formation of according competencies supplied by the educational program based on the synthesis of theoretical knowledge, practical experience and skills.
A significant component of the repertoire that students from such special disciplines as «Main Musical Instrument (fortepiano)», «Additional musical instrument (fortepiano)», «The History of Music», «Solfeggio», «Harmony», «Analysis of music forms» and other master is polyphonic music. Its artistic and pedagogic potential provides the formation of their understanding of the complete picture of music art in historical and stylistic context, the development of their polyphonic hearing and artistic and analytic thinking, the enhancement and systematization of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, activation of interest and motivation to succeed in the chosen profession.
The disclosure of the author's initial idea of the polyphonic pieces of music, the artistic meaning, the definition of drama, themes, style, genre, a complex of means of musical expression for the performing implementation, is impossible without its (polyphonic musical pieces) substantial analysis.
The article describes the content and functional aspects of analysis of polyphonic pieces of music in piano classes of higher artistic educational institutions. From a content perspective, such analysis implies the holistic and simultaneously differential knowledge of artistic and figurative content, means of musical expression, and its functional side provides the main purpose of this activity, which is the performing mastering of polyphonic pieces of music.
