Using the padlet online board in biology lessons in general secondary education institutions

Abstract

The article emphasizes the need for implementing modern information technologies in the educational process of secondary education institutions. Attention is drawn to the necessity of integrating innovative educational and information technologies into the learning process, which is a key condition for improving education. It is noted that digitalization of education helps not only improve the forms and content of learning but also ensures more effective acquisition of learning material.

The article emphasizes the importance of using online whiteboards as an innovative tool that allows for interactive learning using visual materials and promotes effective communication between teachers and students. In order to ensure active and effective participation of students in the process of studying biology, develop their interest in the subject, and provide clarity in learning, the use of the Padlet online whiteboard is proposed. The article highlights the opportunities that the online whiteboard provides for using various multimedia tools and interactive instruments, which facilitates the learning process and material acquisition by students.

The web resource Padlet is a virtual wall where photos, files, links to web pages, and notes can be attached. Various types of content can be added to posts, such as videos, audios, images, and files of any format (Word, PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Notes can be edited on the wall and moved around. This instrument can be particularly useful in distance learning, where it provides the possibility of real-time collaboration, exchanging ideas, and convenient access to information. During synchronous online classes, students can make entries on the whiteboard simultaneously or one by one. The advantage of the online whiteboard is that all entries can be saved and made available to absent students.
