ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION OF ENGINEERS AS PART OF THE CONTENT OF FORMATION OF THE PERFECT PERSONALITY

Abstract

Environmental education is one of the priority directions in the technical higher educational institutions. It is a continuous process of learning, self-education, accumulation of experience and personality development, aimed at fostering of value orientations, rules of conduct and special knowledge about environmental protection and nature management implemented in environmentally competent activity. These questions are particularly acute challenges in the preparation of specialists in the water management profile. Among the chemical disciplines, which are content seekers higher education water management profile, most environmentally directed should be considered «The chemistry of the environment» and «Hydrochemistry of water». Graduates of institutions of higher water management profile must be able to assess the pollution of natural waters, know the sources of pollution. The content of the discipline of «Hydrochemistry of water» allows to estimate the ability of specific reservoirs to discharge and physico-chemical methods for sewage. Very harmful is the sourination processes of surface water bodies, which lead to significant changes in the species composition of living beings. In the study of these disciplines one can discuss and propose solutions to the major problems of the world ocean. The low level of environmental knowledge engineers water management profile specifies the need to activate the process of formation of the environmental knowledge of future specialists and search for innovative learning technologies. Promising directions in ecological education are experimental and research work, practical environmental activities of future engineers. Education of environmentally competent graduate school is seen as part of the content of the formation of a compelling personality.
