Formation of competencies and competences of students in the process of informatics learning
Abstract
The article reveals the formation of student skills and competencies of modern Ukrainian school. It has been analyzed the basic provisions of the researched problem in the views of domestic and foreign scientists on the basis of the analysis of psychological, pedagogical and methodical literature on the implementation of the competence approach in the educational process of different types of institutions. It has been clarified the essence of the concept’s «competence», «competence approach», «competence tasks».
It has been presented the main changes in the reform of the education sector are outlined and the main competencies of the student according to the State Standard of Basic Education. The list of key competencies of the individual according are given and it is considered how these categories are formed in the teaching of computer science, as the lesson of computer science has some differences.
It has been are identified the types of activities at computer science lessons for the development of each of the key competencies. Emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of the formation of information competence. It has been stipulated that not only lessons but also extracurricular activities are effective for the development of personal self-improvement competence.
It has been determined that the appropriate mean of forming students' competencies in computer science lessons are competence tasks. Examples of competence tasks for students of different ages are offered. It has been analyzed. results of solving such problems in different classes are summarized and the effectiveness of their use in the educational process and for becoming a competent person.
Prospects for the further research on the formation and development of competencies and student skills are appointed taking into account new tools and methods of teaching.
