The concept of «pedagogical personality» through the prism of scientific-definitive discourse
Abstract
The article presents a synthesized analytical definition of «pedagogical personalism». Clarifies its essence, content and feasibility of use in the subject field of pedagogical science. It has noted that in the process of accumulating an array of literature on the life of pedagogical personalities in historical and pedagogical science, an interdisciplinary research direction was formed. Which sometimes referred as a «pedagogical personalism». It has been analyzed that the essence of the concepts «personality», «pedagogical personality», «personalism» is analyzed through the prism of scientific discourse. It has proven that the use of the term that «pedagogical personalism» due to the formal reference to the concept of «pedagogical personality» is an alogism. Therefore, it is unjustified neither from a scientific nor from a philological point of view. It has been substantiated statement according to which instead of the concept «pedagogical personalism» it is appropriate to use the term «pedagogical biography», to denote a separate direction of the Ukrainian historical and pedagogical science, which studies the life of personalities. For confirmation the following arguments are given: 1) the concept of «pedagogical biography» corresponds to the general tradition of world and Ukrainian humanities, because its main scientific fields (philosophy, psychology, sociology, history, etc.) indicate their separate scientific fields that study figures ( personalities) who have made a significant contribution to their development as «biographical»; 2) the term «biography» corresponds to the Ukrainian biographical tradition; 3) Ukrainian scientists have accumulated a significant body of knowledge to substantiate the definition of «pedagogical biography» and define its subject, tasks, other parameters as a separate subdiscipline (industry, scientific field) of Ukrainian pedagogical science.
