Abstract

The article highlights the experience of social and civil competences development of preschool children and primary school students in the pedagogical theory and practice of Poland. The works of Polish scientists were analyzed. In which the problem of civic-patriotic education of the individual is actualized, in the context of which civil and social competences are formed among the education seekers.

It was concluded that the authors consider patriotic and civic education in close interdependence, and the education of citizenship and patriotism is one of the priority tasks of preschool and primary schools in Poland. The achievements of Polish scientists and practicing teachers in the development of civil and social competences of students of preschool and primary school are considered.

An example of the educational module «Education for life in society» is given and it is shown how the civil and social competences of students are formed with its help. The Polish programs that bring up education seekers as patriots and effective citizens are analyzed. The educational tasks they perform are highlighted. On the example of the implementation of the educational project «Regional education - cultural heritage in the Tychyn district», the content, means and forms of development of civic and social competences of primary education students are illustrated. The achievements of Polish teachers in extracurricular work in educational institutions of Poland are highlighted.

The principles of organization of «nurseries», «daycare rooms», school kindergartens, forms of educational work with preschool children and primary school students are characterized. Using the example of the «school nursery» (school kindergarten) of John Paul II primary school 4 in Lancsut. It is emphasized how the educational space contributes to the development of civil and social competences of the students. The conclusion was made about the creative use of Polish experience under the conditions of Ukrainian education.
